Operation Traveller Vote – are you registered to vote?

Operation Traveller Vote – are you registered to vote?

An election could be called at any time now, and if you have registered to vote, you’ll be able to cast your vote at a local polling station which will be open from 7am to 10pm.

As part of the Operation Traveller Vote campaign, we are encouraging Gypsies, Roma and Travellers to register to vote. The Traveller Movement launched #OperationTravellerVote to ensure Gypsies, Roma and Travellers are registered to vote and most importantly, have their voices heard during elections.

Watch a video from MP Kate Green about why Gypsies and Travellers should vote.

But why vote?

Voting in an election shows politicians that the views of Gypsies, Roma and Travellers matter too, and that if they do get elected they have a duty to represent you too.

The Traveller Movement has produced a manifesto of questions to ask your election candidates should they stop by your home.

Not sure where your polling station is? Pop your postcode in this website and it’ll show you exactly where it is.
