Into Film are recruiting Young Reporter’s 13-19!

6 September 2017

A leading film based educational charity is looking for young people aged between 13 – 19 from across the UK who are passionate about film and keen to discover the secrets of the industry – and wants young Gypsies and Travellers to apply.

Into Film has contacted the Travellers’ Times and asked us to promote their Young Reporters scheme in the hope that young people from the Gypsy and Traveller communities will apply.

The Young Reporter scheme will give young people the opportunity to interview top filmmaking talent, attend exclusive film events, and build their presenting to camera and reviewing skills. This is an exciting opportunity for young people with a passion for film to meet with likeminded individuals and develop their critical and reviewing skills and confidence in public speaking. Training will take place once a term, with assignments set regularly for Young Reporters to put themselves forward for. Travel costs will be covered by Into Film for both the student and a chaperone.

They have had an amazing year with young people conducting celebrity interviews, writing movie reviews and more. Have a look at what the current intake of Young Reporters have been up to here

If you know someone who is ready to throw themselves into the spotlight, please encourage them to apply. You can download a form and find out more here - https://www.intofilm.org/youngreporter. The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 2nd October 2017.

Into Film recognize the positive value of diversity promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
