Yes, Gypsies are behind in education, but the reasons are complex and cultural

Gypsies and Travellers are the least healthy, least educated and most likely to be out of work of any ethnic minority in the UK, according to findings from the first census to include the group.

 A tick box for Gypsies and Travellers appeared for the first time in the 2011 Census, after being recognised as an ethnic group under the Equality Act 2010.  But how accurate are the findings?  Damian Le Bas accepts the findings paint a gloomy picture, but argues that the reasons are complex amidst a culture that is still, my many, misunderstood.  To read the full article click here:
