Gloucester Talent Evening

Gypsy Roma Traveller Evening

The evening of the 24th of June in Gloucester was brilliant and amusing because we had all these different kinds of people such as Rico Smith as Michael Jackson and he was only 4 years old, he was the best. There were other excellent performances by Kingsholm choir and dancers, school children Brandon Davies and Tom Thompson and Bonnie Birch as well as the Young Gypsy Boys and their band. We want to say a really big thank you to Jake Bowers who presented the show.

We really liked it, we thought it was a really amazing evening and all of the talented people come along next year!

We think that it is important to organise a Travellers evening for themselves and for Georgios . We want to say a big thank you to Karen Steger and the performers and we would go to the Gypsy Roma Traveller evening again. In fact we are organising the next one.

The special event

My name is Elisha Davies, I am 13 years old and I go to Tewkesbury School in Gloucester Talent EveningGloucestershire.  I am writing this to tell you what happened on the 24th of June at the Picturedrome Theatre in Gloucester. It was all about Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month.

I myself was involved in planning the event, getting all the acts together and contacting the schools. We decided who we would like to invite and what sort of awards to give out. On the evening my main job was to meet and greet the guests and to take the Mayor and her husband to their seats and see them out.

There was 8 acts 45 awards 15 schools from all over Gloucestershire and there were 350 people who came to the theatre to watch the people. Jake Bowers compared the show and greeted every one at the beginning.

Some of the talents where Michael Jackson, Michael Buble, Taylor Swift, dancers and the choir.

The best bit was when I got thanked for helping planning the event and Karen gave me a bunch of flowers card and a box of chocolates and them where lovely. The night was great and I think it gave a message to people about who we are and that we have talent and we are not just Travellers Gypsy and Roma.
