Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils Local Plan for accommodation and business needs

21 January 2016

Members of the travelling community are being urged to participate in an important consultation on a Joint Local Plan being developed by Chiltern District Council and South Bucks District Council.

The Plan will determine the level of growth needed to be planned for to 2036 and how and where that development should be delivered. The consultation will help identify the issues the plan needs to address and start to test options for potential development, including options for meeting accommodation needs to be determined for Gypsy, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople . The consultation runs from Tuesday 19 January until 5pm, Friday 14 March 2016.

As the Plan develops, further consultations will be carried out, the next one being on Preferred Options in the autumn - and people will again be invited to give their views.

More information is available on the Councils' websites, along with details of how people can submit their views:
