Get vaccinated against flu this winter – say Public Health Hertfordshire
12 November 2025
People who are more likely to get very ill from flu should have a flu vaccine – say Public Health Hertfordshire. This includes people aged 65 and over, pregnant women and people with a health condition like heart disease, diabetes or asthma. You can get a flu vaccine from a pharmacy or GP and you can book it online on the NHS website.
Flu is caused by a bug called a virus.
Having a flue jab can help stop you catching it and passing it on to other people.
Will the jab make me feel ill?
