Roots and Rights – GaTEssex conference set for 16th October

We are excited to invite you to the Roots and Rights Conference, hosted by GaTEssex, the community-led organisation supporting Gypsy and Traveller people across Essex.

This is more than just a conference – it is a unique opportunity to:

✨ Hear directly from Gypsy and Traveller people about their lived experiences

✨ Gain valuable insights into the barriers communities face in health, housing, and education

✨ Build stronger working partnerships across services to improve outcomes

✨ Be part of shaping real solutions for fairer, more inclusive practice in Essex

GATE ESSEX

Why attend?

Professionals across sectors tell us they want to engage better with Gypsy and Traveller communities, but often lack the tools, knowledge, or connections to do so effectively. Roots and Rights will provide you with those connections, practical strategies, and the chance to  influence change alongside the community itself.

Event details:

 Date: 16th October 2025

 Time: 9.30am-3.30pm

Venue: St Ceeds Hall, Chelmsford Cathedral, Chelmsford City Centre, Essex
