Make Your Voice Heard - Planning Policy for Traveller Sites

26 August 2011

Planning System Hearings between Travellers and Government are to be held across England in September and October:

Chris Johnson has kindly informed us, via our comments section, that a series of hearings are going to be held across England focusing on Planning for Traveller Sites by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

This is your cance to inform the Government about how you feel about the National Planning Policy for Travellers.

Oral hearings - Traveller site planning policy and National Planning Policy Framework
These hearings will focus on planning policy for Traveller sites in the context of the National Planning Policy Framework.

These will be in the following locations on the following dates:

  • London      Wednesday 7 September 2011 (4.30pm to 5.30pm)
  • London      Wednesday 28 September 2011 (4.30pm to 5.30pm)
  • Leeds           Thursday 8 September 2011 (12.45pm to 1.45pm)
  • Birmingham      Tuesday 13 September 2011 (12.45pm to 1.45pm)
  • Bristol         Thursday 15 September 2011 (12.45pm to 1.45pm)
  • Manchester      Tuesday 4 October 2011 (12.45pm to 1.45pm)

Please note, the purpose of these hearings is to increase the accessibility of the consultation for those with poor literacy who would find it difficult to reply in writing to a consultation. The purpose of the oral hearings is, therefore, to let people tell us their views orally, which we will write down. These views will be considered in the same way as written responses to the consultation.
If you want to come to any of these hearings, please call Paul Williams on 0303 44 41223.
