Arun District Council seeks to identify Gypsy and Traveller sites

Arun District Council, in West Sussex, is seeking to identify enough sites for Gypsy and Travellers to meet future needs. The Council’s has identified that there is a need for additional Gypsy and Traveller pitches and plots for the Travelling Showpeople and are looking to identify sites, including:

  • Existing sites with space for additional pitches/plots;
  • Extensions to existing sites; and
  • New sites

The Council have appointed consultants, DLP Planning Ltd, to assess sites that the Council could then consider allocating in their emerging Allocations Plan and subsequently where future planning applications would be supported.

Arun District includes the main towns of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton and the costal urban area between the two. The northern part of the district is predominantly rural in character.

Arun District Council are keen to hear from landowners who are interested in putting their land forward for consideration. If you own land within Arun district and would like to put it forward, please contact either Andrew Lane (DLP Planning) at 0117 905 8854 or andrew.lane@dlpconsultants.co.uk  or Donna Moles, (Arun District Council) on 01903 737697 or donna.moles@arun.gov.uk
