This collection of digital stories, told by Travellers and produced by Rural Media in 2006, depicts life on the road in the 1960s and 1970s.
Each two or three minute story records the personal memories of Traveller families in the West Midlands. With fascinating photos from the families’ own collections, the stories help us to understand:
- How Travellers were viewed in the past;
- How these views have changed;
- Traditional Traveller trades and artefacts;
- The part the Travellers played in agriculture and their relationship to nature and the landscape.
DVD copies of the stories are still available to buy email firstname.lastname@example.org .
