New edition of The Travellers’ Times Magazine out NOW!
The Spring 2017 edition of The Travellers’ Times Magazine – the magazine by and for the UK’s Romany Gypsies, Travellers, Pavee and Roma – is hot off the press and 20,000 copies are now being posted out free to all our readers.
Edition 61 of The Travellers’ Times contains news and pictures on the state recognition of ethnic status by Ireland’s Travellers, an innovative social media campaign by London Gypsies and Travellers, a visit to a former Holocaust camp by a group of Roma pupils, a legal challenge to a discriminatory planning law, a Welsh youth boxers hope for the Commonwealth Games and a memorial to Gypsy war hero.
Also inside the 16 page full colour, high quality, magazine are fair dates, Baroness Whitaker and the Gypsy Co-op, Kate Green MP on the fight for justice for young Travellers in custody, the ‘Catapult Kings’, ’Feet on the Ground’ - an arts project from Leeds GATE, a profile on Traveller artist Delaine Le Bas, a youth forum in Wales and tributes to Peter Mercer and Bill Rogers.

An estimated 100,000 people read the 20,000 copies of The Travellers Magazine that is currently published twice a year. The Magazine is sent to campaign organisations, Traveller sites, councils, doctors, libraries, prisons, colleges, schools and, of course, to Gypsy, Roma and Traveller individuals and families – and non-Traveller supporters – living in caravans, houses and chalets the length and breadth of the country. The previous November 2017 edition of The Travellers’ Times Magazine was also sent to every single Member of Parliament and to the editor of every national newspaper. Your voice gets heard.
